Steel Valley Honors Bannisters for 12 Years of Ministry

Members of Steel Valley Baptist Association churches gathered on July 10 at Grace Place Ministries in Warren to honor George and Lisa Bannister.  During a barbeque dinner, associational moderator Randy Langham, pastor of Cornersburg Baptist Church, led a time of appreciation for the Bannisters' twelve years of ministry with the association.  Since 2005 George Bannister has led the work of Steel Valley Baptist Association.  His wife Lisa has been active in women’s ministries in the state and the local area as well as children’s ministries in their local church.  At some point all three of their sons ministered in various ways in the association.  Lisa’s father, Morris Thibodeaux, has also been active in the association and local church ministries.  The Bannisters and Mr. Thibodeaux will be moving to Woodville, Mississippi where Dr. George Bannister will serve as senior pastor of Woodville Baptist Church.
