Covid-19 is changing our dynamics, but not our vision to advance the Kingdom of God in Ohio. It is not changing our mission to provide training in Bible truth, kid-friendly and interactive worship experiences, updates from missionaries to Ohio and beyond, and preaching with an opportunity to answer whatever call kids hear from God.
Kid’s Kamp has been known as:
“A camp program at Seneca Lake Baptist Assembly that is well rounded and flexible. It is Christ-centered.
The program gives campers a choice of activities based upon the needs, interests, and experience of the group. The chaperones work together with the camp leadership to carry out the program and to guide each camper in their experience as a member of a cabin group and the entire camp.
Being in the out-of-doors and away from day-to-day pressures and attractions creates an opportunity for rapid spiritual growth—like being in a spiritual microwave.”
One missing feature this year that creates a major disparity is not being able to offer the camp at Seneca Lake Baptist Assembly. The balance is that an online camp has the potential to reach more Ohioans and beyond our borders, perhaps around the world, so Kingdom impact is multiplied.
Kid’s Kamp Directors have spent hours in prayer, listening for God’s plan. Bible Learning curriculum, worship experiences, sermons, missionary stories, and recreation opportunities have been specifically designed for this experience. In partnership with IT experts, multiple resources have been researched. Including footage from Seneca Lake Baptist Assembly to create a simulated camp experience is our best attempt to compensate for the absence of: “Being in the out-of-doors and away from day-to-day pressures and attractions creates an opportunity for rapid spiritual growth—like being in a spiritual microwave.”
Registration information is important to us for future communication. But there will be no registration fee for this virtual camp. When campers are registered by parents or a church contact person, they will find an option to order the Virtual Camp 2020 T-Shirt for $10.00.
There are three ways we need your help before you share this amazing virtual camp experience with 2020 campers:
1. Pray with us that all viewers will have a personal encounter with Jesus.
2. Read the step-by-step Virtual Camp Guide to access and interact with all the technological options. In addition, have a bag of M&Ms for each camper on Day 3.
3. If possible create an atmosphere in your home or church that has a camp feel to it, ask questions and listen to how your campers are hearing from God, and take them outside when possible to experience God in His creation. A backyard fire pit and S’mores are always a fun camp experience.
Thank you and Happy Camping!
