Ohio DR Collecting 'In-Kind' Donations for Hurricane Relief Efforts

Ohio Southern Baptist Churches desire to show their compassion for individuals and families ravaged by hurricanes.  Calls have been steadily coming in to Sam Kelley, Coordinator, wanting to help in some way.  Hurricane Harvey has been on the forefront of Kelley’s activity and while a fluid situation, the response is underway.   We have a couple of avenues to provide in-kind donation items to the area.

Urbancrest Baptist Church, Lebanon has volunteered to partner with a church in Texas to collect and transport items to that church for distribution with an evangelistic message!  To the right you will find a specific list of items and the detailed collection info specifically for the Urbancrest effort - see the document titled “Hope After Harvey.”  You may also contact Wanda Lovely directly if you want to collect items to be distributed through the Urbancrest ministry. Her contact info is included in the Hope After Harvey document.

A second list of items is also provided to the right which has some different requirements. By clicking the "In-Kind Donations" link you will find items that can be collected in your church or community. The SCBO can then help to make arrangements to pick up and deliver those supplies to the disaster region by a partner member of The Ohio Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (OHVOAD).

Monetary donations are also always welcome.  Use the “Donate Now” button to give and designate your gift to general disaster relief or specifically to the regions affected by Hurricane Harvey.  If you prefer to write a check, please send it to:
