Ohio Churches Given New Tools to Share the Gospel

Starting in January 2018, churches throughout Ohio will have a brand new resource that promises to help them invite more guests than ever before to Easter Sunday services.

Jack Helton, SCBO Evangelism Director, first shared details of a new program called "The Big Invite" with pastors and church leaders gathered in Chillicothe for the SCBO Pastor's Conference and Annual Meeting.  Using proven methods and leveraging the talents of staff from multiple state baptist conventions, Jack is assembling a massive toolkit that will take churches down a simple step-by-step path to hopefully reach more souls than ever this coming Easter. The following is an exerpt of what was shared on November 7:

The goal of the Big Invite is to unite Ohio Baptists in one effort to invite 500,000 people to our Ohio Baptist churches for Easter 2018. If the regular attenders of our Ohio Southern Baptist Churches would each invite just 1 family we could easily exceed that goal.

Imagine more moms, dads, kids, & singles all ready to hear the Gospel on Resurrection Sunday. What a Kingdom opportunity! Let’s unite our efforts as Ohio Baptists and make Easter 2018 the biggest attendance day we’ve ever had.

Early registration has already begun for The Big Invite, with completed resources to be made available in January, 2018. Jack Helton has asked for as many churches as possible to sign up right away at biginviteohio.org. Signing up allows the state staff the best oppotunity to support the efforts of each individual church, as well as creating a team of Ohioans working together for a common goal. With churches all around Ohio joining together to invite their neighbors to hear the Gospel on Easter Sunday, the expectation is for God to work mightily and add many to His Kingdom.
