Reaching Single Moms for Jesus

Church Planting Resource Group and Women’s Missions and Ministries Resource Group are partnering to train and equip women in Ohio to pray for single moms to come to Christ, saturate communities with Scripture that calls single moms to salvation, and to join God as He draws single moms into His kingdom.

Biblical Model
The Biblical account of Lydia is found in Acts 16:11-18, 40.  Paul first found Lydia outside Philippi at the river, a place of prayer.  Lydia is remembered as a woman with an open heart and an open home.  Church Planting Resource Group and Women’s Missions and Ministries Resource Group are partnering to train and equip women in Ohio to pray for single moms to come to Christ, saturate communities with Scripture that calls single moms to salvation, and to join God as He draws single moms into His kingdom.

Vision Statement Our vision for this ministry is for God to answer our prayer by pouring His Spirit on Ohio so a movement of His Spirit will draw single moms in Ohio to Him as they hear the gospel.  That all single moms in Ohio hear the gospel and come to saving faith in Jesus Christ by 2020.  By God's authority in their life, this first generation of new believers, baptized and mentored, become leaders for Christ.  And, that the transformation in those new believers equips them to become leaders for Christ, witnessing, teaching and making disciples all over Ohio, or wherever God leads them the rest of their earthly life.  The end result of God's hand on single moms in Ohio will bring glory to God as He transforms women around the world into His Great Commission Women.

This ministry is not a program, a model, or a strategy to learn and perform.  It is not a mission project to accomplish a preconceived structure for "church."

This ministry is a movement of God among single moms in Ohio, who themselves, engage in gathering and winning other unsaved single moms within their world/their relationships. These new believers gather to worship, evangelize, disciple and fellowship as the Holy Spirit gives them leadership.  This ministry is entirely initiated and sustained by God, as He works through those He calls, those willing to be available and to give Him the glory for His work.
