The State Convention of Baptists in Ohio is offering to the ministerial staff of Ohio Southern Baptists the use of Seneca Lake Baptist Assembly to:

• Escape to a place of peaceful solitude in order to spend time with the Lord

• Renew yourself through prayer and meditation, away from the demands of the pastorate.

• Relax amid the quiet beauty of the woods and lake.

This service is provided for all ministerial church staff including the pastor, associate pastor, minister of education, minister of music, minister of youth, etc.

The following rules will apply to the Quietism Time at Seneca Lake Baptist Assembly:

• The camp is available only one time per year, up to four days, for each person making a request. These four days are from Monday, 2:00 PM through Thursday, 11:00 PM.

• The Quietism Time is available only from the third week of August through the last week of May.

• Only the ministerial church staff, spouses, and children living at home are eligible.

• Lodge type accommodations (linens furnished) will be provided at no extra cost. The attendee will be responsible for their own meals.

• The cafeteria (dining hall), as well as the gymnasium, will be closed during this time.

• Reservations must be made through the Church Services Resource Group at the State Office at least one month prior to the requested date. Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, with a $10 service fee.

• There will be a maximum of three pastors/staff per week allowed during this time. This is to assure that individual goals are reached.

• All pre-existing rules and regulations for the Seneca Lake Baptist Assembly grounds will be applicable.

• There will be no cooking in the rooms. The barbecue pits on the grounds will be available.

• The church Services Resource Group office will have full regulation of these weeks.  Our desire is for each pastor to have a very positive experience at the Seneca Lake Baptist Assembly grounds.
