Winter Retreat 2011

Seneca Lake Baptist Assembly was filled with 399 students and adults for the annual Youth Winter Retreat January 15-17.  This year’s theme was “Sent.”  Tim Binns, the State Youth Evangelism Strategist, was the speaker and he challenged the students to realize that they are missionaries no matter where they live.  He challenged them with five mission fields with which they should be concerned including: their home, home town, state, country and the world.  The youth were given a strategy to impact their school as well as reminded about the importance of praying for works in areas that they are not able to serve in yet.  The Great Transparency led worship as well as gave a concert on Sunday afternoon.  They have been touring with Eleventyseven and will be performing at the Alive Festival this summer.  The members of the band all live in Lancaster, Ohio.  The weekend saw 33 decisions recorded with four first time salvation decisions and 11 surrendering to full-time ministry.
