Sale of Broad Street Property
Per the approval of the Executive Committee and Finance Committee, Jack Kwok and Dave Warton signed the closing documents for the Broad Street property March 15, 2011. Previously, the Mission Council of the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio authorized the Executive Director Jack Kwok and the Church Services Resource Group Leader Dave Warton to sell the Broad Street property with the terms of the sale being approved by the Executive and Finance Committees. These respective committees agreed to the terms in January 2011.
1957 Broad Street Property
Predecessors of these two committees met in 1957 to authorize the purchase of the original Broad Street property. This was a three-story house built in 1892. In 1961, this house underwent extensive remodeling. A “twin” unit completed the Broad Street property in 1964.

1961 Remodeled Broad Street Propertyhe Broad Street property served Mission Ohio well for 50 years. During the latter years, extensive water and electrical problems at the Broad Street property led to the purchase of and move to the 9000 Antares property. Leaders of the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio had recommended the relocation of the office facilities in the early 1990s.
1964 Twin Units Broad Street PropertyGod has provided for Mission Ohio. He has provided office property to assist Southern Baptist churches and associations in Ohio obey the Great Commission from the Buckeye State to the ends of the earth.
9000 Antares PropertySouthern Baptists in Ohio cooperatively engage in worldwide missions. They support Mission Ohio through the Cooperative Mission Program and the Ray Roberts State Mission Offering. The North American Mission Board has cooperated closely as a valued partner with Mission Ohio.
Mission Ohio is the cooperative effort of Southern Baptists to reach at least 1,000,000 believers in 2,020 congregations by the end of 2020. Let’s press toward that mark.
