In Memory of Melvin Rodgers

Melvin L. Rodgers, 73 of Mechanicsburg, passed away, Sunday, November
14, 2010 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born March
1, 1937 in Houston, MS the son of the late Susie Fennel (Huddleston)
and William Sidney Rodgers.

Melvin served his country in the United States Army. He retired in
1997 after 42 years from GoodYear as Credit Manager. He was a member
of the Northside Baptist Church in Springfield. Melvin was an ordained
deacon. He enjoyed golf and attending his grandchildren's sporting
events.

Melvin is survived by his wife of 52 yrs., Lila Faye Rodgers, his son,
Michael Lewis (Elizabeth) Rodgers, his grandchildren, Megan, Cody and
Allison Rodgers all of Mechanicsburg; his brother, Sidney E. Rodgers
of Augusta, GA, his sister, Joy (Charles) Bunk of Yulee, FL and
numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6- 8 p.m. on
Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON
Funeral Home Mechanicsburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 18,
2010 in the Northside Baptist Church with the Pastor David Hill
officiating.

Burial will be held in Sapa Cemetery in Eupora, MS.
