Kids Ministry Conference

KIDS MINISTRY CONFERENCE

If you work with children and you were not present at the Brand New Day Kids Ministry Conference in Birmingham, Alabama, you missed a blessing! What an honor it was to be a part of this three day event.  Lifeway’s Kids Ministry Team offered tons of workshops to help with children’s ministry. From bridging the gap between family and church, leadership tips, budgeting your ministry, finding the possible in impossibilities, missions, to how to encourage the encourager, and much more. There was a workshop for everyone no matter where you are in the ministry or what you are going through. 

We had an amazing time of worship each day with several guests who encouraged us to do our best.  Angela Thomas reminded us to live with Integrity and that God would bless our ministry and home for doing so. The Lord will defend us if we are clean and live honorably in his sight.

Anthony Evans touched our hearts each day when he led us in worship through his music. The Lord has truly blessed him with a wonderful voice.

Thom Rainer spoke as well and shared Ecclesiastes chapter 12 with us. He told us to focus on what matters and that God would use us.  He went on to challenge us to be an Instrument of God to turn this world upside down. 

We were also blessed to have composer, Jeff Slaughter, introduce our upcoming VBS 2011 Big Apple Adventure theme. He shared stories about each song of the worship rally and taught us the lyrics along with the motions.

I can’t express enough how this conference was truly an uplifting, inspiring, and very encouraging event.  I would like to encourage all of you to put the excellence in your ministry and be sure to attend next year’s Kids Ministry Conference.
