An Inside Look: Stowe Mission

Recently, the Columbus Dispatch featured the Stowe Center in a series of video essays available via  The Stowe Center is a Christ-focused inner-city ministry in South
Columbus that provides for the needs of central Ohio residents.

Each year over 85,000 meals are provided through its food pantry and soup kitchen to meet the needs of Central Ohio. Utilizing a new six-chair dental clinic, Stowe works with local
dentists, dental assistants, hygienists, and dental students from USU to
provide emergency dental services to those in need. The dental clinic
treated over 613 patients last year.

In total, Stowe houses the following free services:

  • Soup Kitchen
  • Food Pantry
  • Vision and Dental Clinics
  • Tutoring Assistance for Children
  • Mobile Medical Clinic
  • Annual Toy and School Supply Giveaway
  • Children’s Recreation Program (CrossTown Kids)
  • Job Education and Training for Women (Christian Women’s Job Corps)

Stowe functions under the umbrella of the Metro Columbus Baptist
Association and is currently supported by over 100 area churches and
many friends.
