Homegoing of Pastor Tim Carr's Mother

Susan Carr, age 77, of Gahanna, went home to be with her Lord on March 26, 2011.  Mrs. Carr is the mother of Tim Car who is the pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Newark, Ohio.

She was born April 1, 1933, to William Walter and Mary Mable (Starke) Fairchild in Hanging Rock, OH.  Susan was the beloved wife to James Earl Carr for 59 years; mother of Timothy R. (Lora) Carr, Newark; Ted J. (Carla) Carr of Gahanna; grandmother of Lauren and Daniel, Gahanna, and Andrew and Allyson of Newark.  She was a childcare provider to countless children in the Gahanna area for over 43 years and was affectionately known as “Miss Sue" by many who loved and admired her.

Mrs. Carr was a member of Jersey Baptist Church.   Susan loved children, music, and gardening.  She received so much joy from helping others.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Dencil “Polly” Fairchild, Glenn Fairchild, Kathleen Goodner, and Reba Jean Tordiff.  She is survived by siblings Billy Fairchild of Chesapeake, OH; Paul (Midge) Fairchild, Minerva (Kenneth) Hughes, and Kenny (Phyllis) Fairchild all of Ironton, OH; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

All visitations and the funeral will be at Jersey Baptist Church which is located at 13260 Morse Rd. SW Pataskala, OH 43062.  Visitation hours will be held Tuesday March 29, 2011 from 4-8 P.M. and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 10 A.M.  Pastors John Hays and Phil Duncan will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jersey Baptist Church in Susan’s memory.  To view Susan’s video tribute or offer condolences to her family, visit www.schoedinger.com.
