Child Care Serving in West Liberty, Kentucky
The Ohio SBDR Child Care Unit deployed to the American Red Cross (ARC) shelter at the Assembly of Faith Church, West Liberty, Kentucky, on Monday, 12 March. A team of seven, under the direction of Sylvia Randolph, Disaster Relief Temporary Child Care Coordinator, arrived around 4:30 p.m. to releive the Kentucky Baptist Convention Child Care Unit. They have been taking care of seven children each day.
Larry Randolph, who is serving as the Unit Chaplain and driver, reported this morning they have had five (5) salvations in the 2 days of service so far. Larry has been blessed with the gift of Evangelism and uses his favorite tool, the Evangecube, to connect individuals with our Saviour. Larry loves to share Jesus during disaster responses and genreally when he is out and about. He has a real servant's heart for our Lord. Thanks Larry!
Sylvia reported the support units for food service and showers are closing as of this afternoon. The child care will serve through Friday and return home on Saturday.
