- Keep existing Ohio Great Commission Taskforce in place until NAMB reaches a decision as to how it is going to implement GCRTF initiative
- Conduct a renewal event in SCBO, Association, and local church levels to plan and communicate goal: “Set aside January as Month of Prayer for Unreached People Groups”
- Commend, Celebrate, and Challenge and Commend SCBO local churches on Cooperative Mission Program Giving
- Recommend the churches of the SCBO continue to encourage, support, and release their Associational Missionary to spend 70% - 80% of hourly time working with local Southern Baptist churches and the SCBO Resource Team on the clear values of Church Planting. This includes, but is not limited to identifying and training sponsoring churches, as well as identifying places, people groups, and population segments within their geographic boundaries that need evangelized and congregationalized
- Communicate to NAMB the value of Ohio’s Mission Plan, Personnel, and Programs: urge NAMB to enhance them rather than replace them
The Annual Meeting of the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio November 3-4, 2010 at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center in Cambridge, Ohio will engage the Great Commission Report adopted by the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention in June 2010. Members of the Ohio Great Commission Committee and Program Committee will lead the featured segments.
Keeping the Ohio Great Commission Committee in place until the North American Mission Board indicates how it is going to implement the Southern Baptist Convention adopted report will provide Mission Ohio the means to assist Ohio Southern Baptists in cooperating together in obeying the Great Commission. Southern Baptists learned a long time ago that it is better to cooperate with other Southern Baptist churches in supporting worldwide missions than for Southern Baptist mission entities to compete with each other for support.
